Goals of the program

The FLY Experience’s language summer program offers a secure, enjoyable and family-like environment to students aged between 18 and 25, so they can develop and achieve:

  1. - linguistic and communicative skills in French or English
  2. - Cultural knowledge of Quebec and Canada
  3. - Openness towards other nationalities, cultures and religions.

French or English instruction

Students will receive 15 hours of French or English lessons and activities per week. French or English as a second or foreign language classes are offered at different levels. Prior to arrival, students will be asked to complete an on-line language proficiency questionnaire. Upon arrival, students will be placed in an appropriate language level based on an oral and written placement test.

Instruction is student centered and based on the communicative approach with the aid of state-of-the-art materials and equipment. Our teachers are native speakers of French or English and have formal training in second language teaching. Our corporate program offers pedagogical afternoon classes which require students to communicate orally during business simulation activities (for example, interviews, cocktails, advertising campaigns, project management, etc.). The inclusion of socio-cultural activities is also an integral part of the curriculum. FLY students will attend classes on the campus of the Université du Québec à Montréal.
